About Us
Woodthorpe WI was formed in 2014 and currently meets on the
first Monday evening of the month at 7.30pm in the Good Shepherd
Parish Centre on Thackerays Lane, Woodthorpe.
We are a friendly group of ladies of varying ages(and sizes!) but
one thing we all have in common is our positive attitude to life,
and a belief in making the most of all time - be they good or not so good.
Following a short business meeting we have coffee/tea, speakers,
social events, entertainers but most importantly opportunities for
fun, friendship and general learning.
There is a luncheon club, book club, trips, visits and fundraising
events. Throughout each month there are also other social events
with again an emphasis on fun, friendship, learning, socialising
and companionship.
So............if you're young at heart and interested in making new
friends we are looking for new members, come and see what we
have to offer. A warm welcome awaits all.
